Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, nicknamed ‘the city of a hundred spires’, in many peoples eyes it’s an equal to Paris in beauty.

The Velka Pardubicka meeting is attended by over 30,000 spectators and creates a fantastic atmosphere and definitely one to tick off your bucket list. The Velka Pardubicka is the oldest cross country race on the continent and is run in Pardubice, Czech Republic.

The first race was held in 1874 and is a true test of stamina, jumping and horsemanship with the race run over 6,900 metres (just over 4 miles) and requiring to overcome 31 varied obstacles including the infamous Taxis Ditch.
